Welcome back to another great year at Sloat Junior High, home of the Fighting Tigers!

SJH's students and families are integral parts of the whole picture of our community. SJH has a high standard of excellence, and our students, parents, and guardians make each student's dreams a reality.

As each student continues to pursue his or her dreams of becoming successful, we will help them remember that opportunity begins within each of them.

Students, the two things in your life that you have complete control over are your attitude and your effort. We promise if each of you has a great attitude and gives great effort in all you do, we will all be successful. By making the right decisions, being involved in school and community activities, and by doing your very best, success will follow all SJH students.

The mission of Sloat Junior High, in partnership with the community, is to provide educational opportunities that will enable our students to reach their fullest potential as creative problem-solvers and productive citizens. We strive to create an environment that fosters self-esteem, respect for others and meets the unique needs of the early adolescent in a changing society.
